Ever wondered whether you could manage multiple accounts on your Android device? Well, the feature is already here and by using some terminal commands to create and manage accounts, users can take advantage of Android's multi-user support.

This "semi-hidden feature" is of great help when multiple users are logging into the same device to carry out their day-to-day activities. Moreover, if users have kids who borrow their devices, this is a smart feature to have on the tablet or smartphone.

"In a nutshell it allows you to use your mobile device in a manner similar to how you are able to use a PC, where separate user profiles can be created. This makes it perfect for a household where multiple people may use a tablet on a daily basis, or simply creating a profile which allows others to use your phone without accessing certain apps like social networks and messaging," states the XDA Developers report.

Apparently, the "semi-hidden feature is enabled via the terminal emulator application, once a new account is created" and "it becomes available via the devices power menu."

Users should remember that they need to be running Jelly Bean as well as have their Android rooted. Until Google develops some official tools for managing users, this feature could be the best bet. However, this feature too has a limitation that ties in with the original "Primary" account. Users can end up in a messy situation if they try to remove the "Primary" account. Thankfully, the app prohibits such actions to avoid any such mishap.
